DESCRIPTION
Crucial conversations are characterized by high stakes, strong
emotions, and varied opinions. These conversations directly impact
the results we achieve in our lives, at work and home.
Those
who master crucial conversations learn to first recognize the
potential dangers, and then apply a variety of skills that help
people stay in honest, candid, dialogue-even when opinions vary and
risks are high.
People who are skilled at mastering crucial
conversations are able to improve:

OBJECTIVES
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
What crucial conversations are and why they matter.
Identify the conversations that have the biggest impact on results.
Identify your own style under stress and how to manage it.
How to recognize motives that move you from dialogue to silence and violence.
How to watch for the conditions in conversations that make people feel unsafe sharing.
How to use three safety building skills to increase open dialogue and decrease hostility and defensiveness.<>
How to get to the root of emotions that drive you to silence or violence and replace them with emotions that lead you to dialogue, making others defensive.
How to make it safe for others to share anything.
How to end a conversation by making decisions and following up.
